It has been a while since we’ve posted an update, since everything was fulfilled a while ago, but we wanted to mention our current Kickstarter for WORLDS BETWEEN WORLDS: THE GRAPHIC NOVELS OF JONATHAN NKONDO, running now for one more week.

It features an excellent set of books by an amazing animation director and artist who has worked on projects such as SCAVENGERS REIGN, LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS, LEAGUES OF LEGENDS, and, most recently, the new animated short film/music video “The Mountain, the Moon Cave, and the Sad God” by Gorillaz. We really think you may find these books interesting! We certainly love them!

We have already unlocked six stretch goals -- stickers, bookmark, magnet, and collectors coin -- with two more bonuses to go before the campaign closes next Thursday, the 19th at midnight EST.

Whether or not you’re a fan of Scavengers Reign or Gorillaz, you can’t deny the charm of hand-made 2D animation, and Jonathan’s creation of the “Moon Cave” sequence in the middle of the Gorillaz animated short film is a standout. We were caught by surprise to realize, much to our embarrassment, that we had yet to distribute the Ambassador Points that you so deservedly earned! 😮

If you missed the mention on the campaign page, every pledge includes a number of Ambassador Points equivalent to your final order total, as if it were a purchase from our webstore. These are unique reward points that can be collected and redeemed for discounts and rewards on our webstore, and a great way to support Magnetic Press further (while building up a collection of cool books and stuff in the process)!

If you are already a webstore customer and part of the program, just log into your webstore account (which should be under the same email address as your Kickstarter/Backerkit account). You should see those new points added to your balance under the heading "ON MARS Kickstarter Points."

If you don't have an account on our webstore, your points have been tallied, but you will need to register for an account and then contact us to add them for you. 😊

Hi everyone!

Hope you had a great weekend. We wanted to take a moment to confirm that ALL NORTH AMERICA PACKAGES HAVE SHIPPED! If you haven't gotten yours already, give the postal systems a week to 10 days to complete delivery. If you haven't gotten yours by then, check to make sure you completed your survey...! 😉

International pledges are getting ready to head to their regional fulfillment hub warehouses -- we'll post more information and estimates as those dates grow firm. Should only be a few weeks...

We also wanted to mention that the digital file for ON MARS (the graphic novel) has been updated on Gumroad, so you may get an email from them saying that a revised file is available. A couple of backers reported problems with the word balloons disappearing in their reader, so we flattened the pages into static .jpgs and rebuilt the PDF. This new file should solve that transparency issue if you ran into that problem. (If you didn't, no need to re-download the file...!)

Address Verification Emails going out this weekend to begin shipping!

Hi everyone!

I'm told that Quartermaster is sending Address Verification Emails to all North American backers this weekend so they can finalize their shipping labels. US and Canadian backers, please watch for an email from [email protected]; this is your chance to make any late changes to your shipping address before they start shipping those North American packages in the next two weeks!

This only pertains to North American backers -- International orders will follow shortly. Right now, we are comparing options between International courier directly from QML or shipping all international orders to hub warehouses in the UK, Australia, and Asia for regional processing, as we have done with most previous campaigns. The latter route is a known, familiar process, while the direct courier option is new and still being evaluated for efficiency and security. We will let you know as soon as a method has been locked in. If we ship through the hub warehouses, you will get notification messages from them when your order is ready. Once we have some estimated dates, we will let you know.

Happy Friday! We're just about ready to start shipping, with everything being assembled at the fulfillment warehouse now, and it dawned on us that we hadn't distributed the digital files yet! 😮

Well, that has been rectified! Digital codes have been distributed this afternoon!
